How do we rate esports betting sites?
Every book on this page has a dedicated esports menu; that is the entry ticket. The rating then uses the same scale as our crypto sportsbook ranking: 6.0 to begin with, as much as one point for overall breadth, and 0.5 apiece for verified hockey props or period markets, in-play betting, cash out, a bet builder, streaming, esports and fast withdrawals in our tests. The maximum is 9.5.
For esports specifically we also note things the rating does not capture: which titles appear, whether map-level markets exist, and whether the book publishes esports rules. Those notes sit in each review. As with any sportsbook, nothing here is provably fair. Results come from match data, and the operator's provably fair system, where it has one, covers only its own originals.
Which esports betting site fits what you play?
- Most titles plus streams: Shuffle. 16 esports titles, including Counter-Strike, Dota 2, League of Legends, King of Glory, Mobile Legends and Warcraft 3, alongside about 20 traditional sports. In-play streaming, cash out and Same-Game Multis are all listed on its sports page.
- Shooters and CS2 depth: Gamdom. Around 15 esports titles, with CS2, Dota 2, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Rainbow Six and Call of Duty among them. Cash out works before and during matches, and singles, combos and system bets are supported. A bet builder and streams were not confirmed.
- Long menu and boosted accumulators: BetFury. Dota 2, CS, League of Legends, StarCraft, King of Glory and eFootball in esports, 80+ sports overall, BetBuilder on marked events, and a Combo Boost worth as much as 50% extra on accumulators of four legs or more. Sports deposits carry a 300% rollover before withdrawal.
- Separate esports lobby with streams: Stake. CS2, League of Legends, Dota 2, Valorant, Call of Duty and Rainbow Six sit in their own list, and Stake streams events. Cash out can be switched off for specific markets, so check the slip.
- Tactical shooters on a Betby book: Rainbet. CS2, Dota 2, League of Legends and Valorant, with separate esports rules, cash out and Bet Builder sections in its rulebook. Rainbet's terms ban VPN use.
Which esports titles can you bet on at each book?
Coverage changes with the tournament calendar, so treat this as what we saw rather than a fixed menu.
| Book | Titles we saw | In-play | Cash out |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shuffle | 16 titles incl. Counter-Strike, Dota 2, LoL, King of Glory, Mobile Legends | Yes | Yes |
| Gamdom | About 15 incl. CS2, Dota 2, LoL, Overwatch 2, Rainbow Six, Call of Duty | Yes | Yes |
| Stake | CS2, LoL, Dota 2, Valorant, Call of Duty, Rainbow Six and more | Yes | Yes |

| Rainbet | CS2, Dota 2, LoL, Valorant | Yes | Yes |

If your title is a smaller one, open the book's esports menu before depositing.
How do esports odds and markets work?
The main market is the match winner, usually two-way, so there is no draw to price. That makes margin easy to check. Take one over each decimal odds price and sum the pair: a hypothetical match at 1.80 and 2.00 gives 55.6% plus 50.0%, a 105.6% book and a 5.6% overround. Our bookmaker margin calculator runs the same check on any market.
Beyond the winner, most books offer a map handicap: one team starts a best-of-three at -1.5 maps, so it must win 2-0, while the other at +1.5 only needs one map. Totals on maps or rounds, correct score and outright tournament winners are common too. Smaller titles and lower-tier leagues usually carry wider margins and lower stake limits, because books have less data to price them.
Live betting is popular in esports, and it is where delay matters. Streams on third-party platforms can run behind the data feed the book uses, so a price may already reflect something you have not seen yet. Our guide to live betting latency and cash out explains how books handle suspended markets, and the esports betting guide covers formats title by title.
What happens if an esports match is disrupted?
Esports have failure modes traditional sports do not: walkovers, forfeits, technical pauses, remakes and late roster changes. The outcome of your bet depends on the book's esports rules, not on what seems fair after the fact. Before betting, look for answers to four questions:
- Is the bet void if a match is forfeited or played as a walkover?
- Does a remade or replayed map count, and from which point?
- What happens to a pre-match bet if the format changes, for example from best-of-three to best-of-one?
- Which data source settles the result?
Rainbet and Bitkingz both keep separate esports sections in their rulebooks. Where a book has no esports-specific rules, the general sports rules apply, and they may not fit. Check the void bet definition too.
Is esports betting legal in your country?
In many countries that regulate gambling, esports betting falls under the same rules as sports betting. Some countries license it, some restrict it, and some leave it unregulated. The books here mostly hold Curaçao or Anjouan licences and publish restricted country lists in their terms; Legendz, for instance, also excludes two Canadian provinces. Several, including Rainbet, Cybet and CasinOK, ban VPN use.
This page describes licences and terms and is not legal advice. Every book here sets a minimum age in its terms, and esports audiences skew young, so treat that rule as absolute.
What does safer esports betting look like?
Esports run on every continent at every hour, which makes it easy to keep betting long past the point you planned. Set a fixed bankroll, stake a flat amount per match, and stop when the session budget is gone; our bankroll management guide shows simple staking plans. Use a deposit limit, and choose self-exclusion if limits stop working. Cybet offers a 24 hour pause on sports only, without touching the casino side.
Free and confidential help is available in most countries. Regional services are collected on our responsible gambling page.
Key terms
- Esports map handicap
- An esports handicap on maps in a series: -1.5 maps needs a clean sweep in a best-of-three, while +1.5 needs only one map win.
- Decimal odds
- The European odds format, giving total return per one unit staked, so 2.50 returns 2.50 for every 1 bet, stake included.
- Implied probability
- The probability an odds price represents, calculated as one divided by the decimal odds, before the bookmaker's margin is removed.
- Overround
- The total of a market's implied probabilities above 100%, the standard way to express a bookmaker's margin on multi-outcome markets.
- Vig (vigorish)
- The bookmaker's commission embedded in the odds, measured as the share of total stakes it keeps on a balanced market.
- Live betting
- Placing bets while an event is in progress, at odds that the bookmaker recalculates continuously from the live state of play.
- Cash out
- An early settlement offer on an open bet, calculated from the current price of the selection minus a margin for the bookmaker.
- Bet builder
- A bookmaker feature for combining several markets from one match into one bet, priced as a single correlated outcome.
- Void bet
- A bet cancelled under the bookmaker's rules and settled at odds of 1.00, so the stake is refunded and nothing else is paid.
- Deposit limit
- A ceiling you choose on the amount you can deposit to one casino account per day, week or month.
- Self-exclusion
- A voluntary block you put on your own gambling, at one operator or across a whole regulated market, for a fixed period.
