Bet builder

A bookmaker feature for combining several markets from one match into one bet, priced as a single correlated outcome.

Bet builder is the European label for what North American books sell as a same-game parlay. You select markets from one fixture, typically result, both teams to score, cards, corners and player shots, and the platform returns one combined price.

Example

A soccer bet builder, illustrative:

Selection Single odds
Both teams to score: yes 1.75
Over 9.5 corners 1.90
Home win 2.20

Product of singles: 1.75 × 1.90 × 2.20 = 7.315. Builder price: 6.50.

  • Implied probability from the product: 13.67%.
  • Implied probability from the builder: 15.38%.

A €10 stake returns €65.

Interpreting the gap

The builder price reflects two things you cannot see separately: the correlation between legs (both teams scoring and a high corner count tend to occur together in open games), and the book's margin on the combination. Comparing builder prices for the same combination across bookmakers is the only practical benchmark.

Rule differences

  • Player selections: if a player does not take part, some bookmakers remove the leg, others void the whole bet.
  • Corners and cards are normally settled on official data for 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
  • Not every market can be combined; some pairings are blocked because they are too closely linked.
