Dice
Seed-verifiable game where you set a target number and predict if the random roll lands above or below it.
Dice at a crypto casino has nothing to do with physical dice. The game produces a number (for example somewhere from 0.00 up to 100.00) and you call whether it lands above or below your chosen target. The lower your chance, the bigger the multiplier.
Generating the roll
In one widespread scheme, the verifier reads a single float (a value from 0 to 1) out of the HMAC bytes, multiplies that float by 10,001, floors it and divides by 100. The roll therefore lands somewhere from 0.00 up to 100.00. Some casinos use other ranges or formulas, so read the casino's fairness page before you try to verify.
Why auditors like it
Dice is the easiest provably fair game to check, and its house edge is usually small, often near 1%. For the same reason it shows up a lot in bonus abuse clauses and tends to carry low wagering weight.
Example roll
You stake $10 with the condition "roll under 49.50". That gives roughly a 49.5% chance, and with a 1% edge the payout sits near 2x. The roll comes in at 37.12, so the bet wins.
