Cashback

A partial refund of your net losses for a period such as a day or week, which may carry wagering.

Cashback hands back a slice of what you lost over a fixed window, typically daily or weekly. The base is normally net losses, worked out either as deposits less withdrawals and remaining balance, or as total bets less total wins.

A discount, not a reason to play

Because cashback pays out only when you are down, it can nudge you to keep going after a bad run. Think of it as a modest discount on losses that would have happened anyway.

Example in numbers

Your net loss over seven days comes to $500. A 10% cashback rate returns $50. If the casino attaches 1x wagering, you need to place $50 in bets before that money can be withdrawn.

How it compares with rakeback

Rakeback is credited on every wager, win or lose. Cashback depends on losing. So a player who finishes a period exactly even collects rakeback and nothing in cashback.

Clauses to read in the terms of service

  • How the casino defines "net losses".
  • Whether bonus money counts toward the loss figure.
  • Wagering attached, any cap, and any deadline to claim.
