Max cashout
A ceiling on what you can withdraw from bonus winnings, however much the bonus actually produced.
A max cashout, sometimes called a maximum withdrawal, limits how much you can take out of a bonus. You see it most on no-deposit offers and free spins, but deposit bonuses carry it too at times. It can be a flat sum, $100 for example, or a multiple of the bonus such as 5x.
Effect on bonus value
A cap can wipe out most of the value. Turn $20 in free spins into $1,500 under a $100 max cashout and anything beyond $100 disappears when you withdraw. The clause is often tucked into the general bonus terms of service rather than shown on the promo page.
Example
You accept a $25 no-deposit bonus carrying 40x wagering and a $100 cap. You finish wagering with $380 on balance. On withdrawal, $100 is paid out and the other $280 is removed.
Questions to answer before playing
- Does the cap cover only the bonus, or every win during that session?
- Is it a set amount or a multiple?
- Is it lifted after you make a real-money deposit?
Wherever a casino publishes a max cashout, our bonus listings display it.
