Limbo

A game where you pick a target multiplier and win when the generated result reaches or beats it.

Limbo has you choose a target multiplier, for instance 2.00x, before you bet. The game then draws a result multiplier, and if that result is at least your target, you are paid your stake times the target.

From seed to multiplier

A typical provably fair method converts one float between 0 and 1 so that the probability of hitting a multiplier m is roughly (1 - house edge) / m. At a 1% edge, hitting 2x happens around 49.5% of the time and hitting 100x around 0.99%. Casinos differ on the precise formula, rounding and the lowest possible result, so check their fairness docs.

Picking your own variance

The house edge does not move whichever target you choose. What changes is variance: high targets miss more often and pay more when they land.

Sample bet

Stake $5 with a 3.00x target. With a 1% edge, you win about 33% of the time. A 4.21x result pays you $15; a 2.87x result loses the $5.
