Rakeback
A reward that gives back part of the house edge on every wager, whether the bet won or lost.
The term comes from poker, where rakeback meant refunding some of the rake a room took from each pot. At crypto casinos it generally means a share of the house edge on each bet, credited instantly or collected at intervals.
Paid on turnover
Since rakeback follows volume rather than losses, it accrues in winning and losing sessions alike. Usually no wagering is attached, which makes it easier to value than most deposit bonuses. It does not flip the maths in your favour; it just trims your expected loss.
The numbers
Wager $10,000 on dice with a 1% house edge and your expected loss is $100. A 10% rakeback rate on the edge returns $10, cutting the expected loss to $90.
